Shopping: don't miss the well preserved old town of Chania with the many shops with traditional items, souvenirs, gold shops. Very close to the Venetian harbour.

Excursions: from many travel agencies in town you can find excursions towards Heraklion, Rethymnon destinations or the Samaria gorge, Sfakia traditional villages, Paleochora beach on the south etc.

Boat Excursions: With daily ferries of about 50 persons, during the tourist season (April-October), they visit the beautiful beaches at Balos with the island of Gramvousa. Also other seasonal boats are available.

Swimming: Enjoy the sandy beaches of the North Chania: Golden beach, Kalyves, Agia Marina,Agioi Apostoloi, Drapanas, Georgioupoli, Kalatha, Kyani akti, Maleme, Kolympari, Platanias, Stalos, Stavros, Tavronitis and the astonishing Balos and. Also if you prefer the not so crowded south Crete then you can visit the beaches of Sougia, Paleochora, Pahia ammos, Halikia and others.

Waking: A variety of walks towards all the country of Crete are available. Travel along mule-paths, down to riverbeds and along stony mountain-paths. Samaria gorge is astonishing.

Water Park: The Limnoupolis water park is open to the public. It is located 8 km south of Chania city.
