Shopping:  In the shopping streets of Agios Nikolaos you can find a variety of handmade jewelleries, traditional products, souvenirs, clothes, restaurants etc.

Excursions: from many travel agencies in town you can find excursions towards Heraklion, Rethymnon, Chania destinations or Vai palm forest and Spinalonga peninsula, among others.

Boat Excursions: With daily ferries, during the tourism season (April-October), they offer a variety of sea trips and destinations.

Swimming: Enjoy the sandy beaches of the North Agios Nikolaos:Sissi - Limani, Plaka, Istron, Driros, Chavania, Boufos,  Ammoudi , Ammos, Almyros, Ammoudara, Kavousi and Sitia. To the East: Kato Zakros, Vai and Xerokambos. To the South: Myrtos, Ierapetra,Ferma, Koutsounari, Makri Yialos, Agia Fotia and Ahlia. 

Walking: A variety of walks towards all the country of Crete are available. Travel along mule-paths, down to riverbeds and along stony mountain-paths.
